I was in a weird season of my life. Often times Liz is optimistic, loving , caring and full of encouragement to give. Yet on this day I was not I found myself discontent, frustrated, confused and more than anything annoyed. One day in the middle of what felt like complete chaos I began to hear let me make ice cream with you. The voice was clear as day yet, I continued with my pity party contemplating on where I was and what I could do to get out. It was in that moment that I saw myself as a little girl helping my brothers summer school class. It was a hot summer day and I remember that the activity they had planned was for us to experiment by making ICE CREAM!!!

Then I heard it again will you let me make ice cream with you? This time I stopped and said OK Lord you have my attention what does this mean? See often times we hear the small still voice of God yet we are so busy trying to figure things out, we leave him out of the conversation because we feel like there is something we have to do! In that moment as I became still and quiet he began to reveal to me what he meant. He said when you are making ice cream you have a lot of ingredients that can be used for other things. Salt goes in eggs for breakfast, Strawberries can be eaten alone or be used to make a milkshake but the end goal of those ingredients is always ice cream. Yet in order to make ice cream those ingredients are intentionally placed in the same container and are churned in freezing temperatures to achieve the proper consistency.

The same way like the ingredients for ice cream our gifts, talents and lives all have a purpose yet can be individually used for other things. The process that shapes our character and helps us grow while frustrating and uncomfortable, helps us to reach places we have never considered. So I challenge you to look at process as a catalyst for change and embrace it.

From Process 2 Beauty!

During this whole process I wanted to make sure that others knew. So I asked my friend and sister to help me make a statement with my nails and she delivered!!! Tess from @Glittermedallas did an amazing job at bringing my process to life as art.

Process is annoying and beautiful all at the same time! -@Lizy_Lioness
